Mookie Betts is already one of baseball's biggest stars. Now the Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop adds two of Disney's most iconic franchises to his resume.
In the coming weeks, Betts will appear in both the Marvel Universe and the beloved Toy Story franchise, giving fans a chance to see a different side of the former MVP off the baseball field.

Betts will make his Marvel debut in the upcoming season of Iron Man and His Amazing Friends, voicing a character named Dizzy Doubleday. Disney describes Dizzy as a baseball player who loves helping young athletes learn the game, a perfect fit for one of baseball's most recognizable faces.
In the animated series, Tony Stark, Riri Williams, and Amadeus Cho use their iron suits to protect their city while tackling impossible challenges. Betts will share the spotlight with former softball star and baseball analyst Jessica Mendoza, who voices Dizzy's sister, Dottie Doubleday.

But Marvel isn't the only Disney project Betts will be involved with this summer.
The Dodgers star recently appeared with his daughter, Kinley, in a commercial for Toy Story 5.
In the commercial, Betts tries to get Kinley's attention while she's distracted by her Lilypad tablet, one of the upcoming film's main characters. After Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Slinky team up to help, Kinley eventually leaves the bench and joins her father on the field.

The commercial is a preview of Toy Story 5, which hits theaters on July 19 and follows toys as they face their biggest challenge yet: modern technology.
For Betts, the Disney double feature comes during another busy baseball season. Despite injuries and inconsistent play in 2026, he's now simultaneously starring in two of the entertainment giant's biggest franchises.
Not bad for a guy who already has World Series rings and an MVP trophy.
