Anthony Head's colleagues based on the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"« They remember the actor after his death.
Head, who died Friday at age 72, played librarian Rupert Giles on the beloved series, a character who served as a surrogate father to Buffy, Xander and Willow.
«"He died peacefully from complications of pneumonia, surrounded by his family," Head's daughters, Emily and Daisy, said in a statement to the BBC. "It was, and always will be, an honor and a privilege to be his daughters and to witness firsthand the impact he and his work had on so many people.".
His daughters added that they understand "how much he will be missed by his friends, colleagues and fans of the show he starred in," that he "loved his job very much" and "always considered himself incredibly lucky.".
His colleagues on the series «Buffy» paid tribute to Head by posting their favorite photos and memories of her on social media.

Sarah Michelle Gellar posted several photos with Head, sharing a touching quote. from Buffy« . "Tell Giles I've figured it out and I'm okay," she began her Instagram caption. "Well, I haven't figured it out and I'm not okay. But I know I'm lucky to have known you. Thank you to Daisy and Emily for sharing your dad not just with me, but with the world.".
Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia in the series «Buffy» , paid tribute to Head, saying he "brought to life a character who, for so many, was the father figure they needed but who was missing at home. Fans around the world are certainly grieving, and for that, I am deeply sorry.".
«"Tony was an icon long before I met him on set, and I fully appreciated that as a young actress just starting out after I was cast as Cordelia," Carpenter continued. "How lucky I was to work with someone of his caliber and talent.".
She also recalled their first meeting and how she was "completely taken aback by his hippie, punk-rock demeanor." "He had an earring, Converse high-tops, and loose, boldly striped trousers. There was no trace of Giles left, which was a testament to his talent.".
Carpenter added, "Tony was incredibly kind to everyone and all living things. In fact, when ants once took over my trailer at work, I asked the drivers if they had any insect repellent. Tony suggested asking the ants to leave. I'm serious when I say he respected every living thing. I can't imagine a better example of a truly good person.".
James Marsters, who played Spike, shared a photo of himself and Head. "There's a void in the world. Anthony Head has passed away. He was an unfailingly kind and reliable presence on the Buffy set, and the best actor in the cast," Marsters captioned his tribute on Instagram.

Clare Kramer, known for her role as Glory, also shared a photo online. "RIP, Anthony. It was a pleasure to know you. It was an honor to work with you," she wrote. "Through Giles, you gave us courage without fear and compassion without weakness—an exemplary performance (and one of many). My condolences to your daughters, family, and everyone who had the pleasure of loving you. RIP, Watcher.".

Emma Caulfield, who played Anya in the series «Buffy» , shared a selfie with Head taken in 2011 on the London Underground. "I went to visit my friend Tony on the set of the film «The Iron Lady» . "We had lunch, stopped at a record store, had dinner, had drinks, and laughed our heads off. It was the perfect day," she captioned the photo.
«"There were many such moments with this amazing man, whom I was fortunate to call my friend for 27 years. He was kind, wise, and guided me through difficult times. You were deeply loved. Words cannot express it. You are greatly missed. May you rest in peace with your beautiful Sarah-Emma.".

David Boreanaz, who played Angel, posted a message on his Instagram Stories: "RIP. He was such a kind and generous man." Eliza Dushku, who played Faith on the supernatural series, wrote on her Instagram Stories: "Tony H., thank you for every scene and time we spent together. Rest in peace and love, kind man. Dear man.".
Besides «Buffy» , Head is known for his roles in television series «Ted Lasso» , «"Dominion"» , «Merlin» и «You, me and them» . His filmography includes: «The Iron Lady» , «Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance »" and the 2007 television film «"Belief".
