Trust issues at the BBC "tend to go away on their own," according to former interim director general Rhodri Talfan Davies.
Asked at today's Enders TMT Leaders Live conference about the string of scandals at the BBC in recent months that have undermined trust, Talfan Davies said audiences were moving on to other things.

Speaking about the future of BBC funding, Talfan Davies stated that "much is at stake if we don't start to secure sustainable funding for the BBC." "We're open to new ideas, but we need a funding model that reflects and acknowledges the universal nature of our work," he said.
BBC funding will be determined following the upcoming charter renewal, which will take place in the coming months. The BBC continues to publicly assert that while 941 TP3T of the country's population watches the BBC, only 801 TP3T pay an annual fee of £180 ($240).
Talfan Davis served as CEO for six weeks between Tim Davie and Matt Brittin. During this time, he was forced to unveil a layoff plan that would result in 2,000 employees leaving the company, or approximately $101,000.
