Dylan Dreyer is considering moving out of his New York City apartment.

In an episode of his podcast The Parent Chat , which aired on Thursday, June 4, the show's co-host Today talked about what it was like to move last fall.

Dreyer, who separated from her husband, Brian Fichera, in July 2025, included video footage of her family's final moments in the apartment.

«"Smile, this is our last video here!" Dreyer said to her four-year-old son, Russell, as he lay crying on the floor. "Did you like this house?" she asked a tearful Russell, who replied, "Yes.".

«"That video just made me cry," Dreyer said. "It was the first time I really looked at the different stages of my life, and it all kind of boiled down to the nursery.".

«"It was a really special time to look back and reflect on this because we'd just sold that apartment, and now it was empty. That room had seen so much, and now we were moving on to a new adventure, a new chapter in our family's life," she continued.

In October, Dreyer posted a nostalgic Instagram post of her childhood bedroom through the years.

«"This room holds so many memories, and I thank God every day for each one," she wrote in the caption. "And the boys have a whole life of love and dreams ahead of them! Just not in a triple bunk bed!"»

Dreyer also has sons Calvin, 9, and Oliver, 6, with Fichera. The meteorologist filed for divorce from Fichera in March, eight months after announcing their separation in an Instagram post.

«"For many years, I've shared with you all my family—the joys, the challenges, the joys, the blessings, and the wonderful memories in between," she wrote. "I'm incredibly grateful for the support and love you've shown me throughout this time. So, I want to let you know that several months ago, Brian and I decided to separate," Dreyer wrote in July 2025.

«"We started out as friends, and we will remain the closest of friends," she continued. "And most importantly, we will continue to raise our three wonderful sons together, with nothing but love and respect for each other.".

In November, during his speech at program Today with Jenna & Friends , Dreyer went into more detail about the split, saying there was something in their relationship that she and Fichera "couldn't fix.".

«"We're not husband and wife anymore, and I don't blame you for everything that broke down because we've come to terms with it," she explained. "So we broke up. Let's move on as friends now.".

«"And I'm no longer angry about the things I used to be angry about, because, like with a friend, you're more forgiving of them when you're not married to them. And I can be a better friend than a wife," she continued.

Later in the episode, Dreyer also talked about moving to the suburbs after the breakup.

«"I found this house, and it's so great to be renting again because the kids bring home so many things," she told co-host Jenna Bush Hager. "I love the school in the suburbs because they celebrate all the holidays, and the kids bring home, like, drawings of scarecrows, and that's what they learn that day.".
