On Saturday, Olivia Rodrigo reunited with The Cure's Robert Smith at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, where the singer performed a surprise concert.

The day after The Cure headlined the festival, Rodrigo, who wasn't included in the festival lineup, announced to fans on social media on Saturday that she would be performing at Primavera Sound. «"This song is special to me for many reasons, but first and foremost because it's my first collaboration," Rodrigo told the crowd. "I'm so proud of it and so happy that this song exists, I'm just so damn happy, so I decided to give it to you all.".

Although "What's Wrong With Me" features a guest artist, Rodrigo initially didn't reveal the name of the other artist; this was revealed after the first chorus, when Rodrigo addressed the audience: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Robert Smith.".

Smith then performed the second verse of the song, after which both singers joined together for the chorus.

This isn't the first time the two artists have performed together on stage: Smith previously joined Rodrigo for her headlining performance at Glastonbury 2025, performing "Friday I'm in Love" and "Just Like Heaven." Now, this on-stage collaboration has extended to studio work on "What's Wrong With Me.".
