The late actor Val Kilmer was given a kick in the ass in the afterlife by his director in the 2008 film "Conspiracy.".
Adam Marcus called the Doors star "the worst person I've ever known," while also dismissively noting that one shouldn't "speak ill of the dead.".

Marcus accompanied the post with a photo of himself with Kilmer in the film "Threads," and wrote in a since-deleted post, as reported by Entertainment Weekly: "#MicroIntellectMonday to the time I directed this guy. The guy who played Iceman and Doc Holliday [sic]. You know who I'm talking about. Here we are with this idiot practicing stunts on the set of Conspiracy."« .
«"And for those of you rolling your eyes at all this 'don't speak ill of the dead' nonsense, screw it," Marcus continued. If Kilmer "had done even a tenth of what he did on my set today, it would have been canceled in a heartbeat.".
«"The worst person I've ever known... and that's really saying something," he concluded.

In Conspiracy, which received extremely negative reviews from critics, Kilmer played a war veteran trying to solve the disappearance of a friend.
But Marcus just crushed it, writing one of the harshest reviews yet. This says a lot.

Batman Forever director Joel Schumacher once called Kilmer "childish and insufferable." The Island of Doctor Moreau director John Frankenheimer said he would never work with him again.
Even Kilmer's ex-girlfriend, Cher, gave him a mixed review—albeit a humorous one—after his death from pneumonia in 2025 at age 65. "Terrible headache," she said.
Marcus did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for comment.
