ImGist - I Am the Essence

What's going on between Charli D'Amelio and her parents? A complete timeline of their alleged family feud.

Charli D'Amelio and her family—Dixie D'Amelio, Heidi D'Amelio, and Marc D'Amelio—have become some of the most recognizable faces on TikTok since her dance videos became incredibly popular during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.

Over the years she has won show "Dancing with the Stars"« , made her Broadway debut in musical "&Juliet"« and continued to build their empire, collaborating with brands like Prada and Dunkin' (bring back the Charli drink, underpants!). They even had a brief stint on reality TV with their Hulu series,’ The D'Amelio Show» .

Although the series was canceled after two seasons on TK, the producers are probably kicking themselves because Charli and her parents are reportedly in the middle of a major financial dispute, and it's escalating by the minute. Here's a full timeline of the D'Amelio family feud, and spoiler alert: it all involves popcorn. So grab some popcorn and get ready to watch this drama.

October 2025: Heidi and Mark appear to have unfollowed Charlie on Instagram.

An eagle-eyed fan on the Reddit forum NYC Influencer Snark noticed that Charlie and her parents had unfollowed each other on Instagram. As of June 2026, Heidi and Mark still don't follow Charlie (and vice versa), but they all follow Charlie's older sister, Dixie.

The reasons that prompted the D'Amelio family to unfollow everyone are unclear, but let's fast-forward a few months...

May 2026: Rumors of brewing tensions begin to surface – and Mark reacts.

On May 30, DeuxMoi published an article in which sources claimed that Charlie "discovered that millions of dollars had been transferred from accounts opened during the years when her parents managed her career" and that the funds "were intended for Charlie's savings.".

According to the publication, "sources also claim that the conflict has caused a major rift in the family, with Charlie's sister, Dixie D'Amelio, allegedly siding with their parents.".

Mark then denied the report in the comments section of Deux's post, writing, "No one called me asking for an interview. It's not true. We love Charlie, but she's being manipulated, and I have proof. We've been silent for the past six years and never commented on the gossip, but it's time to set the record straight.".

He reiterated his words by stating People publication : "I have nothing to say other than that this report on 100% is not true.".

The same day Deux's report aired, Mark went live on Instagram and all but confirmed that there was tension between him, Heidi, Dixie, and Charlie.

He claimed that Charlie's business manager was "manipulating" her and treating her like a "cash cow," and claimed that the same manager had tried to do the same to Dixie, who had reportedly sided with her parents in the whole situation.

«"This whole process was never about money, it was always about having this incredible experience with my family," Mark said of Charlie and Dixie's successful social media career. "And as for stealing money, well, if it comes down to it, I'm owed money.".

He added: "You know how I communicate with my daughter Charlie? Through her lawyer, Joe. Yesterday, when I spoke to him, he told me she's doing well. So thank you, Joe, I appreciate that.".

«"We're just devastated, man. We're fucking crushed," he added. "We want Charlie back. We love her.".

At some point during the livestream, he apparently shared additional information about all of this with strangers via private messages. Sorry!

Then Charli posted a cryptic TikTok (yes, that happened on May 30th, too) featuring a photo of herself with red eyes and Taylor Swift's "Mirrorball.".

«"I'll get back to dancing later, I'm depressed, leave me alone," she captioned the post.

June 2026: Charlie will reportedly sever ties with the family business, Be Happy Snacks.

Charli has been promoting her family's popcorn brand, Be Happy Snacks (named after the 2021 Dixie song), for years, and according to a June 3 TMZ report, "Charli hasn't endorsed the product in over a year.".

According to the magazine's exclusive report People , published on June 4, Charlie officially severed ties with the brand, while Heidi and Marc remain part of the company.

TMZ sources claim that it was "an official, amicable termination of the agreement with D'Amelio Brands and D'Amelio Family LLC that everyone had agreed to at the time," and that the deal "started in March 2025 and was fully completed in November 2025, meaning Charli has been very quietly absent from the snack food business for over 6 months.".

It's unclear what Dixie's position is on the whole situation, but she last wrote about popcorn in November 2025.

As of June 4, photos of Charlie are still posted on the Be Happy Snacks website.

That's all for now, but we'll be back with more news—there will definitely be some. And by the way: Charlie and Dixie have not yet publicly commented on this situation.
