Taylor Swift is often the most successful artist on the Billboard 200 chart. Sometimes she dominates the US best-selling albums list, reaching number one—a feat she achieves more often than any other artist these days—and sometimes she holds the most chart positions.
Neither is true this week, as Drake leads the pack with his recently released album Iceman became his fifteenth album to reach number one, tying him with Swift for the most wins among all artists, behind only The Beatles. The Canadian rapper also achieved his first success, releasing three projects that occupied the top three spots. Following Iceman they are coming Habibti и Maid of Honor , which opened in 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
Swift doesn't dominate the charts either. Eight of her releases occupy positions on the Billboard 200, while Drake made history as the first living artist to chart on 12 charts simultaneously. However, this time, Swift managed one very impressive feat: one of her most beloved—and perhaps most controversial—studio albums reached a landmark mark she's only achieved once before.
Reputation Taylor Swift reaches 400 weeks.
According to Luminate data, for the latest reporting period Reputation album sold another 11,500 equivalent album units, a figure less than 300 lower than the previous week. This amount was enough to help Reputation to remain on the Billboard 200 chart again, even though it dropped from 137 to 146. This former leader, which is almost 10 years old, has now spent 400 weeks on the chart.
Taylor Swift has released two albums that have spent more than 400 weeks on the charts.
Over her nearly two-decade career—her self-titled album entered the Billboard 200 in November 2006—Swift has released 21 charting songs, 19 of which have reached the top 10, and, as mentioned, 15 have reached number one.
Before this week, only one of them had spent 400 weeks or more on the charts. Album 1989 , released several years before Reputation , has appeared on the Top 200 Albums list 567 times, making it one of the longest-charting albums by a woman.
Reputation rules for four weeks
Reputation Album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart in December 2017. Although it stayed there for four weeks, it isn't one of the singer-songwriter's most consistent chart-toppers. Four of her 15 hits have spent more than ten weeks at the top. This list includes The Tortured Poets Department (17 weeks), her latest album The Life of a Showgirl (12 weeks), and also 1989 и Fearless , which spent 11 weeks at the top of the chart.
Eight Taylor Swift albums hit the charts this week.
Of Swift's eight charting full-length albums, Billboard , just over half managed to take a place only on the Billboard 200. Her last two albums, The Life of a Showgirl и The Tortured Poets Department , also fell in the ranking of the best streaming albums, taking 23rd and 45th places, respectively.
Folklore Album , one of her four albums to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, also charted on the Top Alternative Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts due to the classification Billboard . This fan-favorite album ranks #15 on the Alternative Music charts alone and #28 on the overall charts.
Here are all the Taylor Swift albums that hit the Billboard 200 this week, and their chart positions.
