Taylor Swift, "I Knew It, I Knew You"«
After revealing a slew of Easter eggs, Taylor Swift confirmed this week that fans "knew" all along when it came to her musical involvement in «Toy Story 5» . She wrote on Instagram: «I’ve always dreamed of writing songs for these characters, who I’ve adored since I was five years old when I watched the first movie.” «Toy Story »"And on the night of its release, she posted a video of herself as a child dressed as Jessie, who inspired her song "I Knew It, I Knew You." Though Disney billed the song as a return to Swift's country roots, the arrangement truly fits that genre, though her vocals are distinctly modern—the result is a track that "felt like a musical retreat and a homecoming at the same time," as she captioned her cowgirl-style video. "Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge, and at the same time, it felt like a natural fit.".
Role Model, Great Expectations 3000 »
This week, Role Model debuted the first snippet of new music since the viral popularity of "Sally" ("Sally, When the Wine Runs Out" became his first Billboard chart hit, eventually reaching No. 1 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart, thanks in part to a gimmick involving live performances featuring celebrities impersonating Sally each night.) After announcing his upcoming third album, Chuck Timely & The Hourglass , the artist released the lead single, "High Hopes 3000," which explores the same country-folk-pop landscape as his last album. Kansas Anymore . The new song also explores a similar lyrical theme, in which Role Model questions her belief in finding love. "I need high hopes, Lord knows I could use them… They say I'm unattractive when I try/ Come here, honey, I don't know how to do it/ Does love come or does it take a man to come?" Listen to find out.
Niall Horan, "Tastes So Delicious"«
Niall Horan's fourth solo album is released today, Dinner Party , and it lives up to its name, offering a delightful soundtrack perfect for any cozy get-together over food and drinks. The song "Tastes So Good," in particular, plays on the title as well as the album's main theme—love—by describing how deeply he's in love. "Can't take another breath without you / Can't walk down the street / No, I don't know what you're made of / But she tastes so good to me." With a line like that, who needs to see a menu? We'll order what he does.
Tinashe, "Too Easy"«
After performing at Coachella at DoLab in April, Tinashe returned — and she lets both friends and foes know it. The rousing "Too Easy" is brimming with confidence, as she sings, "If you're mad, go see a therapist / I can't help it, I make it look so easy." This club-ready pop track clocks in at just under two minutes, further proving that Tinashe is truly on a roll; it also sends a message to listeners, because it's really easy to hit the repeat button on such a catchy song.
Ryan Beatty, "Secret Language"«
Alternative singer-songwriter Ryan Beattie was once a quiet, unnoticeable figure behind the scenes, contributing, among other things, backing vocals to BROCKHAMPTON projects. But his 2023 album, Calico , transformed his career, receiving critical acclaim and significantly increasing his fame—so much so that Beyoncé invited him. Beatty co-wrote several songs on the album. Cowboy Carter , which earned him his first Grammy Award, as the project was named Album of the Year in 2025. Now he is announcing his fourth solo album. Sweet Fortune , which will be released later this month. The gentle and tranquil lead single, "Secret Language," showcases his soulful writing style, hinting at how his silence can say more than any words: "I confess I'm a little lost / 'Cause I'm fragile and tired / Wounded and weak / And my words are a useless defense.".
